Young Einstein

Challenges

“The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”

Albert Einstein

(**Caution: This club is only for students wishing to step above and beyond the normal classroom experience, and take a chance in exploring the joy of learning.**)

The Young Einsteins’ is a club for students who are interested in exploring and learning more about this amazing world of ours. You may become a 1 star member, all the way up to an 84-90 star member! Learning never ends and your journey to becoming a life-long learner begins here! The “Young Einsteins’ Hall of Fame” will be posted in my room and will remain there until I am no longer teaching. Once you have earned 16 stars, you have earned a place in the “Young Einsteins’ Hall of Fame.”  Have fun and good luck!

Students:  To get started choose any question below. You do not have to do them in order, and you may research the topics using reference books or the following web sites. Your work may be done in school or at home. Students must memorize the Young Einsteins’ Club item (therefore, actually learning and retaining new knowledge). They can use their notes to study from and students can quiz each other, but not on the actual test.  When a student is ready to tell me their answers out loud to a challenge, I  record their answers on a scratch paper to make sure there are no duplicate answers. The student either passes or not. If they don't pass they can try again the next school day.  Be a smart internet researcher! I have made every attempt to ensure that the content on the following links is appropriate for students. Please tell Mrs. Hood if you see anything you think is inappropriate.

So, which ones will YOU learn?
